Legitimate Online Opportunities
There are hundreds of different business opportunities online that will allow for anybody to make money. But unfortunately there are also people out there that will want to scam you and take your money, warns Gerry Lewis.

Online scams come in many different forms, and you really need to be aware of what they are. By being aware of online scams you are cutting back on your chance of being taken.

This is not to say that there are not legitimate online opportunities available. One way to detect online scams and decrease you chances of being involved is to ask around. If you have found an online business opportunity that you are really interested in, you should take a week or two and ask people that you know if they have any information on the company. Think about how much easier it will be if you can get a solid testimonial from a business associate!

Also, just like any other company that you do business with, feel free to ask for references. There is nothing wrong with calling or emailing the company that you want to do business with and ask for references. You can explain your situation to them, and let them know that you are leery of online scams. Any company that cannot give you solid references might be one of the hundreds of online scams out there today. If you still want to do business with a company like this you should be very careful.

Find an opportunity today, and research it carefully before you get started. You will be happy that you did in the end! One very good, legitimate online Opportunity can be found at the “Larson Concepts – Business Opportunity” page.

Home based Business - Network Marketing
If you've ever heard of Network Marketing, you've probably heard it said that it is essentially a people's business.

One of the unique characteristics of the network marketing type of business is that every individual distributor is in business for themselves but never by themselves. They will always be part of a larger organization and the compensation models are designed in such a way that every person can count on some form of support from their upline.

It is no secret that fortunes can be made in this type of business and many have done just that. Every individual distributor does have the same chances. Success or failure is not dictated by politics, race, age, background or gender, but always by results. In that respect it is probably also the fairest business model in the world.

What is so unique about network marketing? One of the great things about network marketing is that education is built into the training systems of all good companies.

Network marketing is all about building people. It is probably your best bet if you want to learn about what it takes to be successful in life and you don't need rich parents or some kind of scholarship to enroll.

If this sounds convincing and you’re ready to jump in, and are looking for an opportunity, here’s one!

Is Network marketing the Right Home Business For You?
Network marketing is only great IF you find the right company and the company is right for you.

First find out if it is legitimate work. A legitimate network marketing company has a compensation plan that says that anyone working the business can make money. It doesn't guarantee that they will, just that they can. Making money is up to you. Also, if they're legit, they have an actual product or service to market.

The greatest thing is that the business system is already in place. All you have to do is duplicate the system. You just have to market the product or service. And if you work the system, there really is the potential to earn some substantial money.

What's Not So Great About It? Well, it's the nature of the Network Marketing beast. You have to recruit other people to become "Independent Associates." And, most of them will look at you like you're crazy and you should get a "real job."

The other downside is the meetings.

So Is It Right For You? Ultimately, that's up to you. Go with your gut. Do you trust the company? Do you like the people who are already involved? Do you believe in the product or service you'll be offering? If you don't believe in it, you won't be able to sell it. Do you have the time to devote to a home business? And are you willing to commit and withstand that negative berating you're likely to get? Don't let that put you off, though.

If you decide to join a network marketing company, good for you. Here’s one I recommend – Larson Concepts. Give it all you got and you can be a huge success.

Residual Income Is Smart Money
Residual income (also called passive or recurring income) is income that continues to be generated after the initial effort has been expended.

Linear income is directly proportional to the number of hours invested in it (40 hrs. of pay for 40 hrs. of work), but one of the great advantages of residual income is that once things are set in motion, you continue making money from your initial efforts, while gaining time to devote to other things... such as generating more streams of residual income!

There are a variety of ways residual income can be earned. Following are some examples.
• Transfer the rights to a book you wrote, a software program you created, a gadget you invented, or a song you recorded, to a company that agrees to pay you a percentage of each copy of your work sold in the future.
• Let an oil company drill a well on your property in exchange for a percentage of the revenue.
• Purchase an office building or other real estate that earns you recurring income through lease or rental payments.

The above ways of earning residual income generally aren't that easy to implement.
Consider these more attainable options for the average person:
• Start a savings and investment program that pays you residual income in the form of interest or dividends.
• Join associate programs. Some of them offer similar opportunities for earning residual income for promoting their products and services.
• Create and market your own information products.

The best types of residual income are usually those that you have exclusive rights to or otherwise control. They may be harder and more time-consuming to develop or acquire as opposed to promoting products and services of other suppliers, but the rewards are usually greater, and the income more stable. Make money from home
Are you interested in a Home Business? What skills and interests do you have, to help you start working from home? How can you build a business on these skills?

The possibilities are endless, says Jennifer Adkins.

You can use the Internet to get ideas. Look out for Business Opportunities. Or look at local sources of business. You can get ideas from books, too.

Remember to check with local government to see if you need a business license, if there are zoning issues or if there are special laws or regulations governing the type of business you want to start.

You should be realistic, though, about how much money you will make. Building up your own business and finding customers or clients takes time. You won't get rich overnight; you may not get rich at all.

But you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that you're doing something you love and getting paid for it. You'll have lots more flexibility to work when you want and carve out time for your family.

Working for yourself is still work. It isn't easy, but it can be rewarding and a lot of fun.
